ACT composite - 28 I have experience tutoring neighborhood children in various subjects. I want to be a tutor because I believe that a strong education is the foundation for a successful future. Students won't always understand a lesson in a classroom setting and providing a different perspective in an individualized setting can be the spark needed to ignite a passion for learning. I am able to adapt my communication to connect with kids of all ages. I prefer to lead by example and I'm not afraid to admit that I don't know the answer to something. When this happens I utilize it as a learning opportunity for both of us. My daughter is a Type 1 diabetic so I'm familiar with children that are suffering from chronic illnesses.
